There are also lots of restrictions on the way data moves around in a GPU. We certainly understand the need to protect intellectual property, especially at this stage in the game, but this is what we know. In single GPU cases, there could still be a benefit, but the more graphically intensive a scene, the less room there is for the GPU to worry about anything else.
